Biography

Born in Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Mexico, on June 21st, Nadia encountered her first experience with music at the age of eight, when she was casted for the XEW-TV program "Fantasia Musical" ("Musical Fantasy").

Nadia was selected among the first five finalists in the popular TV reality show "La Academia." She followed her success with a second-place showing in 2003 at "Desafio de Estrellas" ("Stars Challenge"). She has become a highly respected musical talent whose fame continues to rise fast as she is becoming an internationally recognized act in Mexico and the U.S.A.

Nadia's proven record in sales led her to secure one of her dreams: an exclusivity contract with transnational recording firm Warner Music Mexico.

In 2004, Warner Music Mexico launched Nadia's first single titled "Contigo Si" where she sang a duet with Yahir, thus embarking full speed ahead in her professional career path. It was then when suddenly the charismatic Nadia became "THE TOP #1" singer in all radio stations during a consecutive 24-week period.

By 2008, Nadia had produced five albums, three Golden Records, one Platinum Record, and four OYE Recognitions. It was then when Nadia received the American Grammy Awards nomination in the "Best Mexican Regional Album" category.

Recently, Nadia launched her new album titled "De Amor y Desamor" participating in three themes where she co-authored with well known composers Bruno Danza, Angela Davalos and Jorge Dominguez.

La Feria del Mariachi 2010 is honored to present Nadia as the new icon of ranchera music and proudly presents her with the "Rising Star Award" in recognition of her ascending career in the world of mariachi music in Mexico and the United States.
